2013 Sleepout for the Homeless

On May 1st, 2013, the BCC campus hosted an overnight sleepout to highlight the plight of the homeless in our area and raised much needed funds for the local organizations that serve them. The Service Learning Program has thrown its support behind this effort. Our interns got hands-on public relations experience, rallying the student body to sign up and find sponsors to donate funds, goods and services to this worthy cause. Participation increased fivefold over last year.
